The Gang
Alex Guillén: 22, living in Delaware (at least for now). Recently graduated from the College of William and Mary, majoring in anthropology and English. Looking for a job in journalism, preferably in D.C. Check out my portfolio website here.
Chelsea Caumont: 22, cannot go a full day living in Northern Virginia without reflecting on the absurd. A wry, sarcastic writer and yoga enthusiast with interests centering on the post-modern age as well as the philosophy of language and the human condition, she will one day be able to execute the scorpion pose while reciting rhymes in German from Nietzsche’s “The Gay Science.”
Gregory Glazier: 21 years old, majoring in English and Women’s Studies at the College of William & Mary. Loves reading Victorian and modernist lit-rit-cha and blogging about stuff that’ll make you blush. Brew Greg a pot of coffee and he’ll be your best friend. Follow it up with a pint and you may never get rid of him.
Bertel King, Jr.: 20, attends the College of William and Mary, where you can find him writing for the Flat Hat, working as an AV Tech or assisting art students. He has a passion for writing fiction, using Linux, and following politics. He is majoring in both Government and History.
Amber Lester Kennedy is a 26-year-old journalist who has traded house parties and dance clubs for wine gatherings and wedding planning. She’s still trying hard to stay cool, but is already nostalgic for the days before cell phones. You can catch her musings about her newfound domesticity at her blog, Newly Domesticated, where she bakes plenty of cupcakes and tries to make chicken breast interesting.
Vanessa Van Landingham: 23 years old, editor. Although she recently moved to Manhattan’s Upper West Side, you will most likely find her endlessly riding the 1 train or at the bottom of a manhole as a consequence of her inability to put down whatever book she’s currently hauling around. Unless it’s a weekend. Then, she’s probably stalking Kristin Chenoweth at a museum or something. You can follow her on Twitter.
Alexandria Jackson: 21, recently graduate from American University with a major in print journalism (yes, print) and a minor in history. Hopelessly addicted to both National Geographic magazine and pop culture.
Joe Kessler: 22, a recent graduate of the College of William and Mary. Now attending the University at Buffalo in upstate New York, planning to give up the next five to seven years of his life in exchange for those letters P, h, and D. Hopelessly addicted to matters of language, science fiction, trashy pop music and the rare interesection of all three.
